How our affiliate links work

Once you've built a shopping list in Boardwise, some material rows show a "Buy at" link to one of our retail partners. These are affiliate links — if you click through and go on to buy something, Boardwise may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Our current retail partners

B&Q, via the Impact affiliate network. We plan to add further UK retail partners over time as they become available; this page will always list who they are and how each relationship works.

What this does and doesn't affect

The material, quantity and price estimate shown to you comes entirely from the parts you enter and the UK retail price snapshots we use for each material — never from which retailer pays the highest commission. We choose retail partners because their range and stock sizes match what Boardwise's stock-fitting calculations already assume, not based on commission rates. The recommendation logic doesn't change based on affiliate arrangements, and we don't accept payment to feature a product or retailer.

Why we do this

Boardwise is free to use, with no account and no paywall. Affiliate commission is one way we can keep it that way and fund ongoing development, alongside the optional feedback you send us.
