Privacy policy

Boardwise doesn't require an account, and we've tried to keep what we collect to the minimum needed to run the tool and improve it.

Your project data

The parts, materials and shopping list you build in Boardwise are saved locally in your browser's storage on your own device. We don't receive or store this data on our servers, and it never leaves your device unless you choose to share or export it yourself (for example, emailing yourself a shopping list). Clearing your browser data or using the in-app "Reset" option removes it.

Feedback you send us

If you submit feedback through the in-app feedback form, we store the rating, category, your message, an optional email address if you choose to give one, and some basic, non-identifying context (which step you were on, how many material groups your estimate had, your screen size) to help us understand and fix the issue. This is stored in our database and used only to improve Boardwise.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to Boardwise. It doesn't use cookies or collect personally identifiable information, and reports only aggregated, anonymised usage figures.

Affiliate links

Some shopping-list rows link to B&Q via the Impact affiliate network. Clicking one of these links takes you to B&Q's website and may set a tracking cookie there, used by Impact and B&Q to attribute a purchase back to Boardwise. We don't receive any personal or purchase data from these clicks ourselves — see our affiliate disclosure for how this works, and B&Q's own privacy policy for how they handle your data once you're on their site.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, run third-party advertising trackers, or require an account to use Boardwise.
